PVET PROFILE

MANDATE:

• Regulate the keeping of domestic animal.
• Regulate and inspect poultry , milk, diary products for public consumption.
• Enforce all laws and regulations for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
• Take the necessary measures to eradicate, prevent or cure all forms of animal diseases.

ORGANIZATIONAL OUTCOME:

1. Prevent, control, and treatment of animal diseases
2. Regulate the flow of live animals, meat and meat products within the province
3. Establish and maintain quarantine checkpoints at the entry point of the province
4. Procure, propagate quality breeder animals for the local farmers
5. Conduct capability building for clients
6. Generate revenue for the province
