GOALS

SOCIAL. A better educated citizenry, improved health and nutrition status of the population, enhanced social development levels of the population especially the poor and vulnerable sectors, welfare of all disadvantage groups in the province ensured, decent housing for all, Ifugao a safer place to live, work and do business, improved resiliency of household members and communities to the impacts of hazards and climate change and preserved and enhanced positive Ifugao customs and practices for cultural identity.

ECONOMIC. Food security, adequate income of farm families, improved business climate, tourist level of satisfaction raised to bring about increased tourist arrivals and longer length of stay and host communities and other local stakeholders empowered to share in the benefits of tourism.

ENVIRONMENT. A clean air and safe water, fertile land and a climate change resilient balanced ecosystem, ensured sustainable production, consumption and management of the province’s natural resources, protected, preserved and developed land, forest, watershed and wetland resources.

INFRASTRUCTURE. An efficient and reliable transportation and communication network to interconnect municipalities and areas with potential production and settlement, increased access to social facilities, agri-infrastructure, postharvest facilities, domestic water supply systems and electrification.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION. To enhance local governance mechanisms that would promote transparency and accountability, facilitate people empowerment and stakeholders participation, and institutionalize mechanisms that would converge effective and efficient resource mobilization and utilization
